ADDING a PACKAGE in Web Host Manager
If you are new in web hosting business and you don’t know what to do, this is a short tutorial/guide on how to start your website hosting business. To host a website, you need first to create a package for it. The package specifications depends on your pricing. Here, we are going to show you the step by step on how to start creating a PACKAGE in your Web Host Manager.
In your GVO affiliates back office click on WEB HOST MANAGER, can be found on the left side bar menu. After click on the “click here to access your webhostmanager button”
After clicking that, you will be taken to your Web Host Manager Area. In the left side bar, look for the PACKAGES MENU, and then click Add a Package.
Enter the name of the package, here I use the Starter_Package name for this new package, the higher the price you set the higher the package. You can create as many packages as you like, and as name them whatever you want.
The Quota is the disk size, enter amount in megabytes, same as with the Bandwidth size. The rest is up for you to decide what to put there depending on the prices you set for every package you create. Remember you will be earning 100% of your reselling here. So decide what’s best for you and your customers.
Then choose your settings. Ours looks like this…
After that, just click on the ADD button and you’re done. That’s all there is to it, very simple and easy. Now you have your first package. If you want to create another package with higher specifications, just do the same thing. Your website hosting business is now ready.
To Host a Website
Hosting a website in your Web Host Manager, is also very simple and easy to do. First, you or your customer need to have a domain first. You can register them in GVO or in other places, like Godaddy or Namecheap. A tip, before paying for your new domain, google for coupons, use them so you can get a discount in your new domain.
After having your new domain, in the domain registrar change the DNS to GVO’s DNS.
These are the DNS to use:
NS1.GVODNS.COM
NS2.GVODNS.COM
After that you can now add or host a new domain/website in your Web Host Manager. Here’s how: In you Web Host Manager Area, at the side bar, look for the Account Functions Menu, then click on CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT.
Enter all the necessary details that is asked here. In entering the website or domain name, remove the http://www. as you can see from the example above. The username is up to you, you can either use the domain or create another username as long as it is 8 characters only. Enter the password, create your own or use the Password Generator, just click that button and you will be given a password for it. The email is the email of the website/domain owner.
Then choose a package. The Packages you created will be in the drop down menu, when you click on the small triangle button, all the packages you created will be shown there. Here I choose the Starter package.
As for the other settings, I leave them as is. Then click on the CREATE button at the bottom and you are done. That’s it, simple and very easy. You have now hosted a website in your Web Host Manager. This is the start of your Website Hosting Business.
